Acorn Hog Roast’s speciality is the basting and roasting of whole pigs for outdoor events, parties and functions.
To create our delicious end product we cook each pig slowly for a period of 12 hours in our purpose built hog roast ovens and then serve the succulent, melt in your mouth meat with apple sauce, sage and onion stuffing and very crispy crackling.
We serve our hog roast on a large doughy flat bread from the North East of England called a ‘stottie’ which is warmed gently in the oven prior to sandwich preparation.
Served straight from the oven the end result is delicious and is like eating freshly baked bread.
