Acorn Hog Roast are a mobile outside catering company based in County Durham. We are proud to offer modern, purpose built, specialist catering units to supply spit roast catering to the outdoor events industry and also to smaller private outdoor parties and functions.
Hog Roast North East
Outside caterers based in the North East Acorn Hog Roast is a family run business with more than 19 years’ experience. Acorn Hog Roast’s speciality is the basting and roasting of whole pigs for outdoor events, parties and functions.
To create our delicious end product we cook each pig slowly for a period of 12 hours in our purpose built hog roast ovens and then serve the succulent, melt in your mouth meat with apple sauce, sage and onion stuffing and very crispy crackling.
We serve our hog roast on a large doughy flat bread from the North East of England called a ‘stottie’ which is warmed gently in the oven prior to sandwich preparation. Served straight from the oven the end result is delicious and is like eating freshly baked bread.

For larger events we are able to cater for guests and visitors throughout the day as our catering teams also serve breakfast, baked potatoes, baguettes, fish and chips, burgers, hot dogs and much more.
For smaller events and parties such as weddings and private functions we have a marquee that can be used to provide our hog roast and spit roast facilities.
